The red insides of the detonation chamber conceal the “interior source” suspended into its centre and a sooted plate for recording the structure of the advancing detonation. The alien mask of Technology with its sad slit of a mouth and single useful eye is revealed a science fact in which man is not defined as controller, passenger or prisoner.

“The shell burst clean in the face of the thing. The hood bulged, flashed, was whirled off in a dozen tattered fragments of glittering metal…. The above relates to the first image in Recent Work, obviously I can’t thank anyone for the production of the work but I have included my body of  work “A Sense of Place” something that my father respected but had his own views with regards to his philosophy on photography. Finally myself and my father were/are not of a religious background but Tay my neighbours daughter left me a copy of the new testament with a page bookmarked. and these are the words I will leave for my father, I hope if there is an afterlife you have found mum. RIP…..
